Jane Musica’s fourth EP, ‘The Secret’ by David From Venus ft. Baridi Baridi is all set for release on 21st August 2020. The EP will include the original track as well as remixes curated by an eclectic group of electronic music artists. Musical versatility is really stretched through this EP, offering a unique breadth of emotion and intensity.
David from Venus is David Garcet’s second project as a solo DJ and producer. Created out of a desire to reach into more alternative and emotive music than the sounds he explores through his first self-titled alias which leans towards classic club music. ‘The Secret’ interprets his unique musical style perfectly, his penchant for storytelling through a strong beat and dominant voice really comes across here. Combining his love of Electronica with Argentinian music producer Baridi Baridi’s powerful and enchanting voice keeps listeners entranced throughout the track. A slow but empowering musical voyage that moves gracefully and hides depths of emotion just waiting to be delved into.
Included on the EP is a ‘Late Night Mix’ of the original track, also produced by David From Venus. This version features a bolder rhythmic intensity with amplified synth sounds for a more future-forward feel. David From Venus is inspired by a broad spectrum of genres, his fans know to always expect the unexpected from him and this track justifies that. From a classic Electronica track to transforming it into a gripping Trip Hop record, David From Venus lays out his changeability and creativity on this EP.
As we make our way through the EP, we progressively amp up the intensity of ‘The Secret’. Irish DJ and producer Neil Flynn who has multiple releases and remixes on notable labels including Suara, Lossless, Needwant, Selador and more, includes a dynamic and deep remix of ‘The Secret’ on the EP. Recognised for curating music that spans anywhere from Deep House right through to dance and club sounds. His remix sits nicely in the middle of that spectrum and is definitely more intended for the club music scene and reserved for the early hours of the morning. Here he finds himself exploring a more minimalist and progressive edge. The harder and repetitive beat gives the track a more hypnotic and almost decadent feel that leaves music listeners yearning for more.
Talented DJ and producer The Note V, whose remixes and tracks have been released on well-known labels, including Steyoyoke, Bar 25, KDB and more, brings his creative flair for telling stories through sound to the forefront of this remix. Taking us down a darker musical passage, emphasising deeper melodies that create an intense atmosphere. He leads us down a mysterious path that echoes a sense of untold truth, as though we are on a quest to discover what lies behind ‘The Secret’. He seamlessly merges heavier levels of sound including a fierce drum beat and dark melodies that intensify the emotions behind the track. A powerful remix of ‘The Secret’ done in a progressive style that leads us into the final remix of the EP. Created by Die Jungle, an electronic music producer from Mexico known for track and remix releases on Nein Records and Phisica, to name a couple. His records are his form of personal expression, as such they are his vision of the world which he crafts passionately into strong melodies, that say everything he needs to say without saying any word at all. He adds a Dark Disco remix to the EP, featuring compelling heavy sounds and a mid-tempo beat which deepens listeners into an unusual musical world of its own.
